As grown adults with great ambitions and career plans somewhere, we ignore our health in between. While working late hours we tend to hog on greasy foods and take-outs to sustain our busy schedule. What we forget is that health is an asset that no career or money can buy. It is only attained by oneself keeping a strict mindset and discipline. But that does not mean taking care of ourselves should be boring. Breakfast can be that one meal where we can implement changes and see results, as it is known as the most important meal of the day. 

The science behind a good Breakfast.

Breakfast kick-starts your metabolism, allowing you to burn calories throughout the day. It also gives you the energy you need to finish tasks and improves your concentration at work or school. That is just a partial list of the reasons why it is the most important meal of the day.

Many studies have linked eating breakfast to better health, including improved memory and focus, lower cholesterol levels, and a lower risk of diabetes, heart disease, and obesity.

Here are some quick-to-make and extremely nutritious breakfast ideas that you can eat in the morning and get enough energy throughout the day. 

  1. Poha

You can start by soaking ¼ cup of moong dal overnight. Take a pressure cooker and add one tsp of ghee to it. Now add washed moong dal and fry it for a few minutes. You can add some basil leaves to enhance the flavors. Cook it for 2-3 whistles on medium flame.

Take another pan and add some ghee to it. Add cumin seeds, ginger, peanuts, and cashews. Sauté them and add the soaked poha and dal. Mix everything well and garnish it with some fresh coriander and some lime.

Your healthy breakfast is ready and you can enjoy the tempting poha for a kick-start day. 

  1. Chicken Sandwiches 

Take some boneless chicken (100gm)  and boil it until it becomes soft and tender. Now shred the chicken and add some salt pepper, capsicum, and one spoonful of mayonnaise. Spread the chicken on brown bread and grill them in a pan. 

Your yummy and super nutritious breakfast is ready. You can enjoy it with some green chutney or tomato ketchup. 

  1. Banana pear smoothie 

Take one banana, one pear, and one beetroot. Blend them together to get a smooth smoothie. You can top your smoothie with some fresh fruits and a handful of nuts. 

Enjoy all these yummy and tasty breakfasts which are full of flavors and nutrients. And don’t forget to kick-start your day with a healthy diet as it will set a positive tone for your day.
