8 Food Chains that provide Safe Fast Food Items for your Dog

Published:

Dogs are the best animals to be around and if you own a dog you would always want the best for him/her. Be it food, stay, or clothes, you want to give everything to your dog that’s within your reach. Dogs have very limited food options which can sometimes cause boredom in eating. But did you know there are some savoury food choices available in the market or can be prepared that you can feed to your dog occasionally?

Fast food is something everybody craves and dogs are fond of them too. Here are the best and safe fast food items you can order for your dog at a fancy restaurant or famous food chain.

Starbucks Puppuccino

You’d be surprised to know that Starbucks has a secret off-menu item, especially for dogs. It’s called Puppiccino which is a whipped cream in an espresso shot that can be easily slurped by dogs. If your dog’s gut system can take in dairy, then you can give this drink to your dog daily. However, it has sugar in it which can be a problem with your dog’s tooth cavity if it’s a pup. Thus, give a proportionate amount of this beverage to your dog.

This drink is free, all you have to do is walk into the store and order.

Johnny Rockets- Dog Burger

This franchise cannot be found everywhere except in some parts of the US. Their menu has a special offering for dogs which is a cut-up plain burger patty with fries on the side. This is a great choice if you want your dog to have a different dish once a week.

In-N-Out Pup Patty

If you live on the west coast of the US, you will find various stores of In-N-Out which are famous for their range of burgers. In fact, they also have an off-menu item which is a secret treat for dogs. This is an unseasoned, less spicy burger patty. This could taste bland to your dog. It has very little salt in it, you can always add salt on the top or cover it with a little ketchup.

Culvers

Culvers offer a special treat in their drive-thru menu for dogs. It’s a milk bone biscuit served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or frozen yogurt. Just make sure you don’t feed this treat every day to your dog as it contains lots of calories which can be harmful to your little pup.

Dairy Queen

Dairy Queen offers a special sundae for dogs. It’s a vanilla soft serve with a biscuit. Your dog would love this treat at dairy queens. However, dogs with lactose intolerance cannot digest dairy well. Therefore, do not feed this to your dog if they have milk allergies.

Dunkin

Just like Starbucks, Dunkin’ also offers a special item for dogs. The treatment involves a cup filled with whipped cream and no other additives or nuts that might be allergens for your dog. Not every store has this item on its menu. You might have to drive-thru or call to find out if they serve anything suitable for dogs.

Sprinkles

Sprinkles is popular for their finely decorated cupcakes. Well, they make impressive cupcakes for dogs. They do not reveal their base ingredient but they have a yogurt topping, that’s for sure. If your dog is not allergic to dairy you can offer this cupcake to your dog. Offering these kinds of treats to your dog every day is harmful as it may cause stomach aches or they might lose their healthy appetite.

Tim Hortons

Tim Hortons also has a famous treat for younger dogs- they call it Timbits. These are doughnuts made with plain sugar-free dough and sugar-free toppings. This can be a good treat for your dog if you are out with the dog.

Offering fast food to a dog is advisable but in moderation. Never exceed the amount of anything while you are feeding your dog. Most dogs are allergic to certain ingredients, just make sure you are offering them something easy to digest, non-allergic, and sugar-free.
