As the festival of lights, Diwali, approaches, households across the world are bustling with activity. From cleaning and decorating homes to preparing delicious sweets, the spirit of Diwali is truly in the air. This year, renowned chef Ranveer Brar brings a unique twist to the traditional Diwali sweets with his specially curated Hershey’s Nuts Barfi recipe.

Chef Brar, known for his innovative culinary creations, has collaborated with Hershey’s to craft a delightful treat that promises to make this Diwali even more special. The Hershey’s Nuts Barfi combines the rich and nutty flavors of cashews, almonds, and pistachios with the luscious sweetness of Hershey’s Strawberry flavored Syrup. The result is a mouthwatering barfi that is not only a treat for the taste buds but also a visual delight.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tablespoons ghee
  • 1 cup cashew powder
  • 1/2 cup sesame seeds powder (white sesame seeds toasted and ground)
  • 1/2 cup Hershey’s Strawberry flavored Syrup
  • 1½ tablespoons chopped almond
  • 1½ tablespoons chopped pistachios
  • 1½ tablespoons chopped cashew nuts

Equipment Needed:

  • 1 heavy bottom pan
  • 1 spatula
  • 1 barfi dish/plate

Directions:

  • In a heavy bottom pan, add ghee and heat it up.
  • To the ghee, add cashew powder, sesame paste and chopped nuts.
  • Cook this together till the moisture evaporates. Do not brown the mixture.
  • Add HERSHEY’S Strawberry Flavored SYRUP and cook till the mixture is combined and semi-dry.
  • Add the mixture to a barfi tray or any plate to set. Set it aside at room temperature for 2 – 3 hours.

Tip:

  • To elevate the visual appeal of your Hershey’s Nuts Barfi, sprinkle the top with chopped pistachios before serving. This not only adds a pop of color but also enhances the overall nutty flavor profile of the barfi.

Chef Ranveer Brar’s Hershey’s Nuts Barfi is a delightful fusion of tradition and innovation, making it the perfect addition to your Diwali celebrations. The rich and creamy texture, combined with the unique twist of Hershey’s Strawberry flavored Syrup, sets this barfi apart from the rest. So, this Diwali, embark on a culinary adventure with Chef Brar’s recipe and treat your loved ones to a symphony of flavors that will linger in their memories long after the festivities are over.
