With New Year’s Eve just around the corner, the excitement is palpable in all of us! But why not take it a step further and make your celebration even more special by traveling to New York for the occasion? Not only will you have access to some of the most iconic landmarks in America, but you’ll also be able to sample some of the best restaurants in the city. Read on to find out which restaurants are must-tries when you travel to New York this New Year!

These bars are considerably fancier than the place where you often drink with your pals, and they are ideal for a variety of special occasions, such as celebrating an anniversary with cocktails or spending a fun evening with clients or in-laws. Check them out and select the one that appeals to you the most for your upcoming exciting night out. All of these are situated in New York.

The following is the list of bars you must try:

Overstory

Located on the 64th floor of a Financial District skyscraper is the cocktail lounge Overstory. It offers the sights for which visitors from out of town stand in line for an hour, yet it’s much more pleasant than any Midtown Manhattan tourist trap. After checking in on the ground floor, you’ll be escorted up a flight of steps to an oval room with a disco ball, where you might hear clubby versions of Madonna’s music. Saga is Overstory’s sibling restaurant, located on the 63rd floor. The place is never too busy, and it features a massive terrace that goes around the entire perimeter.

Apotheke Nomad

Although an “apothecary-themed speakeasy” might sound like a notion from 2009, Apotheke succeeds in making the concept work. While the original is more well-known for being in Chinatown, the Nomad location is more laid-back and is therefore ideal for large events. Below ground, the decor evokes an Art Deco pharmacy, and several spacious booths provide a comfortable place to socialize while sipping “euphoric booster” cocktails.

Lobby Bar

Hotel Chelsea’s Lobby Bar is, without a doubt, one of the quieter watering holes in all of New York City. It reminds me of the grand entrance hall of a French chateau, and it’s the kind of location where you could sit on a couch and catch up with an old friend or your bedmate. The namesake martini is the strongest we’ve ever experienced, and the menu is short but sweet, featuring items like steak tartare and fries. It is completely full and really cold.

Dear Irving

In Dear Irving, each suite is decorated in a unique style. One is decorated in the style of Art Deco, while the other seems like it was favored by Marie Antoinette and her closest companions. Located a few blocks south of Gramercy Park, on the second story of an apartment building, this is a popular spot that recommends advance bookings.

Westlight

The Westlight vista will help you remember why you’ve chosen to stay put in this pricey and congested metropolis. In the summer, you may enjoy a drink at one of the many outdoor tables on this Williamsburg bar’s rooftop, which offers unobstructed views of the Manhattan skyline. Avoid the hassle of waiting in line in the hotel lobby for a while by booking in advance.

These are some of the best bars for any occasion that one wants to celebrate in New York. If you are out for celebration these might turn out to be an excellent pick for you as these are the best in the town. Once inside, there are a variety of ways by which you can have fun. Make sure to check out all of them whenever you want to have any kind of celebration ahead.
