Vitamin C is also required to produce glutathione, a molecule capable of cellular cleansing produced by the body. This simple drink can also be used to relieve nausea and stomach discomfort.

3. Almonds for magnesium

You can meet half of your daily magnesium requirements with just a fistful. Overdose of alcohol depletes cellular magnesium, a mineral that helps the alcohol dehydrogenase enzyme break down and eliminate alcohol from the body. Magnesium also relieves head and neck muscle tension, which is an essential post-drinking therapy.

4. Cucumber mint juice for hydration

Alcohol leaves acidic solid ash in the body, making it susceptible to illness. So, it’s better to grab some alkaline foods to stabilize this effect. Cucumber and mint juice hydrate, calm, and soothes the body. It can decrease high blood pressure caused by excessive drinking.

5. Raisins for B-vitamins

Alcohol depletes B vitamins, leaving you tired. Raisins are the best to treat hangovers. It supports liver health and contains fructose, which can help in alcohol elimination, thus alleviating hangover symptoms. Soak 5 to 7 raisins overnight and eat on an empty stomach.

6. Wheatgrass to relieve water retention

A concentrated source of nutrients such as iron, magnesium, chlorophyll, and vitamins A, C, and E aid in detoxifying the liver and kidneys. Chlorophyll is a natural antibiotic and healer that can boost immunity. A 30 ml booster shot can help with detoxification and water retention.
