Bread Machines: An Affordable Solution to your Fresh & Homemade Bread

0

There are many people who enjoy bread as a staple food, but the food can also be costly when it comes to buying it. Fortunately, if you want to save money on bread and don’t want to have to make your own, bread machines are a great option. Not only do they make delicious and fresh bread, but they also offer an affordable way to enjoy this favorite food.

Bread machines are kitchen appliances that make bread from scratch. They work by mixing the ingredients, kneading the dough, and baking the bread all in one machine. They are simple to use and require minimal effort, making them popular for busy households. Most bread machines also offer a variety of settings, allowing users to make different types of bread, from white bread to sourdough and everything in between.

Bread machines can range in price from $50 to $300, depending on the model and features. While this may seem expensive, the cost of a bread machine is easily offset by the savings on store-bought bread. A single loaf of bread can cost upwards of $5 at a grocery store, while a homemade loaf made in a bread machine can cost as little as $1.50. Over time, the savings on bread can add up to a significant amount.

In addition to cost savings, bread machines offer several advantages over store-bought bread. Homemade bread is fresh, delicious, and customizable. Users can experiment with different ingredients and flavors to create bread that meets their preferences. Bread machines also allow users to control the quality of the ingredients and avoid any unwanted additives or preservatives that may be found in store-bought bread.

Bread machines can also be an excellent option for those prioritizing their health. Many bread machines offer gluten-free and whole-grain options, often unavailable in grocery stores. Users can also control the amount of sugar and salt added to the bread, which is particularly beneficial for those watching their diets.

Bread machines are an excellent investment for anyone who enjoys bread and wants to save money on this household staple. They are easy to use, customizable, and offer a cost-effective way to enjoy fresh and delicious bread. By investing in a bread machine, users can save money and prioritize their health by controlling the quality of the ingredients in their bread.

Food Safety gets tossed as Woman finds Cockroach in her Meal, Food Outlet facing Enquiry

0

The incident described above is not only disturbing but also raises serious concerns about food safety and hygiene. It highlights the need for proper measures to be taken by restaurants and food outlets to ensure that their customers are not exposed to health risks due to contaminated food.

Haile M Kirkland’s experience at the restaurant on Nine Mile Road in Pensacola is a perfect example of how negligence on the part of restaurant staff can lead to health hazards for customers. Finding a cockroach cooked with her chicken is not only disgusting but also poses serious health risks. Cockroaches are known carriers of diseases such as salmonella, E. coli, and other harmful bacteria that can cause food poisoning.

Haile wrote, “Had a cockroach cooked into my chicken at Slim Chickens on 9 mile in Pensacola and the manager could care less. He said ‘oops sorry, like what if you want a refund or something.’ Very disgusting and unprofessional.”

https://www.facebook.com/Haile.Klous/posts/6177154365639762

Moreover, the reaction of the manager, who was indifferent to the situation, is highly unprofessional and unacceptable. It shows a lack of concern for the customer’s health and safety and undermines the trust that customers place in the establishment.

Following Haile’s complaint, the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (BBPR) visited the restaurant and found nearly 20 dead roaches on the premises. This is a clear indication of the lack of proper hygiene and cleanliness practices at the establishment. The presence of cockroaches in a restaurant is not only unsanitary but also a violation of health codes.

Incidents like these serve as a reminder of the importance of maintaining proper food safety and hygiene practices in restaurants and food outlets. Customers have the right to expect safe and healthy food, and it is the responsibility of restaurant owners and staff to provide it. Proper measures must be taken to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future and to ensure the safety and well-being of customers.

Food Delivery Robots Startup Kiwibot raises $10 Million funding; Plans to expand Fleet of Robots

0

In recent years, robotic delivery services have been gaining popularity due to their efficiency, speed, and cost-effectiveness. One of the most successful companies in this space is Kiwibot, a Colombian startup with headquarters in Miami that specializes in high-driving autonomous robots for food delivery.

Kiwibot has been making significant strides in the industry, and it recently secured a $10 million financing partnership with asset financing group Kineo Finance. This brings the company’s total funding amount to $24 million, including the same amount raised one year earlier, in February 2022.

The goal of this latest financing agreement, as with the previous round, is to grow Kiwibot’s robotic fleet and disrupt the delivery-as-a-service (DaaS) industry. The new funds will reportedly be used to help with the company’s manufacturing and scaling needs, allowing it to expand its service to more locations.

Kiwibot’s delivery service is already available via apps like Grubhub and Sodexo’s Everyday, and it reduces food delivery costs by up to 65%. These robots are equipped with GPS technology, advanced camera sensors, and artificial intelligence (AI) to generate optimal routes, avoid obstacles, and provide cost-effective service. Kiwibot’s service lets customers launch last-mile deliveries at a fraction of the time and cost without the hassle of hiring a courier.

The partnership with Kineo Finance is significant because the financing group is known for providing smart asset financing for startups while limiting dilution. This financing group aims to build lasting mutually beneficial alliances with the companies they support and partner with them in the long run. This partnership marks Kineo’s first involvement in the DaaS industry, presenting a significant opportunity for startups to consider alternatives to venture lending and venture capital funding.

Kiwibot’s growth in the DaaS sector has made it an attractive option for Kineo Finance, which is committed to encouraging automation and digitalization initiatives in various industries to drive the adoption of high-tech companies’ equipment.

Kiwibot has already delivered food for restaurants like Dunkin Donuts, Subway, Pizza Hut, and Mr. Beast Burgers. Having served 6,942 students and connected 133 restaurants with customers in 2022, Kiwibot is committed to a zero-carbon future, eliminating the gas emissions of common delivery vehicles.

Other companies in this space include Starship Technologies and Postmates, who have also been testing their delivery robots in various cities across the United States and the United Kingdom. Nuro is another notable player in this space, with its autonomous delivery vehicles that have been used to deliver groceries and other goods in select markets.

In related news, Flytrex, a drone delivery service provider, recently received the Standard Part 135 Air Carrier Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), granting Causey Aviation Unmanned (CAU), its partner, the certification to provide drone delivery services beyond the line of sight. The certification allows Flytrex and CAU to deliver goods to more than 82 million properties across the United States. Its restaurant partnerships include Charleys Philly Steaks, Brinker International, Jersey Mike’s, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Papa Johns, and Wendy’s.

According to a recent report by MarketsandMarkets, the global autonomous last-mile delivery market is expected to grow from $11.9 billion in 2021 to $75.7 billion by 2030, at a CAGR of 22.7% during the forecast period. As consumers increasingly opt for online food delivery, the demand for restaurant food robotic delivery services is expected to rise, which bodes well for companies like Kiwibot.

Woman launches Food Banks for Animals in Chennai to feed stray animals

0

Vetri’s Pet Food Bank is an initiative that aims to help stray animals in the suburbs by providing them with nutritious food. The food bank is named after Kirthana’s dog, Vetri, and was inaugurated on Friday. The food bank will offer both freshly cooked food and dry food, which will be provided free of charge to feeders, rescuers, and caretakers of stray animals.

The food bank was established after the organizers realized that many strays in the suburbs were not receiving the same level of care as those in the city limits. The lack of access to nutritious food was one of the main challenges faced by feeders and caretakers in these areas. The food bank is intended to bridge this gap and ensure that all community animals have access to quality food.

Kirthana Raamsukaesh, said, “We were unable to find a food bank that catered exclusively to animals. So, we began this food bank for stray, rescued dogs and cats. We have a kitchen that will prepare over 100 kg of wholesome meals including dry foods and wet foods every day. And it’d be a balanced nutritious meal for the rescued strays,” and added “Anyone can collect the meals from us to feed their community pets. There are many feeders, caretakers, and individual animal activists who ensure stray dogs and cats are fed every day. They can pick up the food from the food bank located in Tiruvanmiyur. A one-time registration is required,”.

The food bank will be open to feeders, rescuers, and caretakers who register on a detailed form available at shorturl.at/jxAN6.

The form requires information about the number of animals and the areas where they will be feeding them, as well as photographs and videos. This information will help the organizers understand the needs of the animals in the community and ensure that the food bank can cater to their needs.

The food bank will operate from the Faheen Complex, No. 58, Avvai Nagar Main Road, Thiruvanmiyur. Two batches of meals will be distributed every day from 11am to 2pm and from 2pm to 4pm. The food bank aims to support the feeders and caretakers who are working hard to ensure that stray animals in the suburbs receive the care and attention they need.

MCD earns INR 5.4 Cr by allowing 138 Eateries to serve Food in open areas

0

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has reported a revenue of INR 5.44 crore, earned by permitting 138 eateries to serve food in open spaces and 57 eateries on terraces, according to officials. This move comes after the MCD relaxed its norms for eateries in January of this year and requested traders to obtain licenses for serving food in open areas and on terraces through the civic body’s online portal.

Under the new policy, owners of eateries are allowed to serve food in the open spaces adjacent to the licensed eateries if the applicant is the legal occupant of open spaces or terraces.

However, an NOC from the Fire Department is mandatory, as stated by the MCD in a statement. The MCD has made an exception for eateries with open spaces on the ground level and those with a total open area of less than 90 sq. meters on upper floors, exempting them from the NOC requirement.

The MCD notification has also mentioned the annual license fee for open spaces on a roof or a portion of a roof, which is INR 200 per sq ft. For hotels rated four stars and above, the fee is INR 500 per sq ft. Officials believe that this policy will boost the corporation’s revenues, promote tourism, and create more job opportunities.

This move is expected to provide relief to the hospitality industry, which has been severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. The policy will encourage eateries to serve food in open spaces, which will help in maintaining social distancing and providing a safer environment for customers. Additionally, the initiative will also provide a new source of income for the corporation and create more jobs in the hospitality sector.

Overall, the MCD’s decision to permit eateries to serve food in open spaces and on terraces is a step towards a more sustainable and safer way of dining out. The policy will not only benefit the hospitality industry, but it will also provide a new source of revenue for the corporation while creating more job opportunities for people.
