Innovations in technology have boosted the economy, raised living standards, and introduced novel possibilities. The use of fewer people for manual labor is another benefit. The world around you will attest to the fact that we are more reliant on machinery.
There are many examples of people’s reliance on machines in daily life, from the replacement of stone mills with mixer grinders to the use of multi-cookers for automatic cooking.
A café in Dubai is planning to replace its human wait staff with robots, which might be considered a precursor to such widespread use in the future. It will be called Donna Cyber-café, and it will have supermodel robots who can converse with customers, learn their identities, and understand their emotions. But that’s not all. Additionally, these robots will be stationed near the cash register to record and store all of the café’s transactions.
Several news sources have reported that the Donna Cyber-café will finally open its virtual doors to the public in 2023. To our knowledge, Donna Cybercafé is the first of its kind in the world to operate entirely without human employees. According to the claims, RDI Robotics has created lifelike robots called Robo-C2 (real humans).
The personalities of these robots are feminine and laid-back. An online magazine based in Dubai (92mag.com) claims that the robot wait staff at Donna Cyber-café would look like Diana Gabdevolina, a popular model from Eastern Europe. The publication goes on to say that it is yet unclear whether or not these robots will do the dishes or if the café will employ human beings to do the same.
