According to Taste Atlas, India received the fifth spot on the list of the world’s top cuisines for 2022. The ranking is based on how the audience votes on the ingredients, dishes, and drinks.
According to the assessment, the greatest meals in India are “garam masala, malai, ghee, butter garlic naan, and keema,” which obtained a score of 4.54. The list contains 460 items in total. The list also includes 450 additional restaurants, such as Shree Thaker Bhojanalay (Mumbai), Karavalli (Bengaluru), Bukhara (New Delhi), Dum Pukht (New Delhi), and Comorin (Gurugram), as the top places to try Indian food.
Italian food comes in at number one.
The food of Italy came in first, followed by that of Greece and Spain. Among the top 10 nations with the best cuisines were Japan, the United States of America, Turkey, France, and Peru. The most popular cuisine in the world, however, is Chinese, which came in at number 11.
The most popular Indian dish is shaved paneer.
Only Shahi Paneer from India, which came in at number 28, made it under the top 50 list of the best “traditional” foods in the world. In TasteAtlas’ list of the world’s top meals, Shahi Paneer from Delhi’s Kake Da Hotel scored 4.66 stars out of 5. Shahi paneer, a cheese dish that comes from Mughal cuisine, is made with paneer, onions, almond paste, and a thick, hot tomato-cream sauce. Indian breads like naan, roti, or puri are frequently served with the dish, according to the culinary website.
However, Gulati’s Butter Chicken from New Delhi earned the 53rd spot with 4.56 marks. In a ranking of the top 100 “traditional” foods in the world, Dastarkhwan’s Lucknow Korma came in at number 55. Hyderabadi Biryani (by ITC Kohinoor) came in at number 71 on the global list, and Vindaloo of Venite in Goa took home place 71.
