A pleasure that can’t be refused is getting freshly baked, hot pizza sent to your door. Nobody can say no to it. Because there are so many pizza delivery places in major cities in India, we are never totally out of alternatives when it comes to ordering pizza. In the past, well-known pizza restaurants like Domino’s would make the following guarantee to their patrons: “30-minute delivery or pizza is free!” In addition to that, the pizza company has now taken things one step further. In a recent release, Domino’s India revealed that the amount of time required to deliver hot and fresh pizzas to your neighborhood has been cut down to just 20 minutes.
Even if you don’t believe it, the Indian market is the largest one, and Domino’s plans to grow it even more in the future. Russell Weiner, the CEO of Domino’s, has stated that India is the company’s largest market outside of the United States in the global Domino’s network.
The delivery service that guarantees arrival within 20 minutes is now available in 20 zones spread out over 14 cities in India. There is no indication in the press release of which cities are featured on this list; nonetheless, it is likely that major centers such as Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai are among those cities. The announcement of this news comes after several grocery delivery programmes, such as Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and Blinkit, have made the claim that they can deliver vital groceries within 10 minutes.
Updating their technology, improving their operational efficiencies, and opening more outlets in urban areas are some of the measures that Domino’s is taking in order to cut down on the amount of time it takes to deliver orders. Domino’s India issued a statement that read, “These steps help the brand optimize the overall timing of the entire process, ensuring the delivery of hotter, fresher, and tastier pizza in 20 minutes without compromising the food quality or the safety and well-being of its delivery riders.”
This was in reference to the company’s efforts to speed up the delivery of pizzas. Sameer Khetarpal, the Chief Executive Officer of Jubilant Foodworks, was quoted as saying, “In our endeavor to increase our service levels, we are certain that we would do so without compromising the safety of our passengers.”
