When two individuals marry, they make a vow to stay together in sickness and in health. In one such case, a Chinese woman supported her sick husband by selling homemade dumplings to collect funds to care for him and his family. According to the South China Morning Post (SCMP), the spouse has been in a coma for three months following a fatal vehicle accident.
Many people complimented the mother of two on the internet for her efforts. The woman, Nie, is from Anyi County in Jiangxi’s southeastern region.
Nie is from Anyi County in Jiangxi’s southeastern region. Her husband, surnamed Ding, sustained a head fracture and has been in a critical state since early September, according to the outlet. Nie released similar videos on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
According to the publication, medical expenses, including three surgical procedures since the accident, have forced the family to sell their apartment. Nie is now trying to meet the family’s financial needs by selling dumplings.
Since their marriage in 2016, the pair has made a living by selling their homemade noodles and dumplings. However, Ding’s tricycle crashed into a car while carrying food to customers in early September. According to SCMP, the accident caused severe brain damage, and doctors fear that he will be in a “permanent vegetative condition” as a result of it.
“I’m looking for him.” one year, two years, three years, or perhaps more. “I will continue to wait,” Nie told the SCMP. She also mentioned that Ding’s condition had improved slightly. His care has already cost her family 6,00,000 yuan (approximately Rs 71 lakh).
“No matter if he continues in a vegetative condition or wakes up without the capacity to move or in any other situation,” she told the publication.
