Deliverect, a rapidly growing food tech company, has recently completed the acquisition of ChatFood, a mobile ordering and marketing solutions provider catering to hospitality brands in Dubai.
The primary objective of this acquisition is to offer the restaurant industry a comprehensive solution that facilitates profitable growth and enhances customer experiences. This includes enabling various functionalities such as social, dine-in QR, and direct channel ordering, along with online food delivery services.
Following the acquisition, the combined forces of Deliverect and ChatFood will cater to a vast network of over 43,000 restaurants and foodservice businesses worldwide. This collaboration will enable them to process over 300 million orders across 42 markets, showcasing their extensive reach and influence in the industry.
With a strong presence in the Gulf region, ChatFood has established its operations, serving over 3,000 foodservice locations that heavily rely on its advanced technology. In a testament to their commitment, the Co-Founders of ChatFood will continue their journey with Deliverect, spearheading the company’s ongoing growth and expansion efforts.
Zhong Xu, CEO and Co-Founder of Deliverect, said, “We are thrilled to welcome ChatFood to the Deliverect team. With ChatFood, we now provide a 360-degree solution inspired by the challenges our customers face, supporting them both with in-restaurant dining and online food delivery. This milestone is significant for our company because each day we strive to simplify the lives of restaurant owners and help them thrive in the digital age.”
Through this acquisition, Deliverect will be able to provide its customers with a comprehensive digital platform, offering a streamlined solution that simplifies processes and enhances value for both in-restaurant dining and online delivery experiences. By eliminating complexity and consolidating services, Deliverect aims to deliver a seamless and efficient solution for its customers across all aspects of their operations.
Ben Mouflard, CEO and Co-founder of ChatFood, added, “We’ve had an opportunity to observe Deliverect’s values and dedication to their customers through our existing integration and long-standing partnership. We recognised that their approach aligned with our own. We are so excited by this next chapter in our journey and bringing our solutions to restaurants around the world.”
As per ChatFood’s claims, its solutions have led to a significant improvement in various key metrics for businesses. They state that their solutions have resulted in a 35% increase in average customer spending, a threefold increase in tips received, and a 25% boost in labor efficiency.
The recent acquisition has brought forth innovative solutions, such as the introduction of ‘Deliverect Social Media Ordering.’ This feature enables customers to conveniently place their orders directly from restaurants’ social media accounts, leveraging the restaurants’ social channels for a seamless ordering experience.
An additional offering is the ‘Deliverect Order & Pay’ solution, empowering restaurants to digitize their dine-in experience. By utilizing custom QR codes, restaurants can provide their customers with streamlined options for menu browsing, ordering, bill management, and payment. This technology allows restaurant staff to prioritize creating an exceptional dining experience while also providing incentives to customers for their visits.
Deliverect plans to make its ‘Social Media Ordering’ and ‘Order & Pay’ solutions globally accessible in the upcoming months, gradually rolling them out worldwide.
The specific financial details of the acquisition were not publicly disclosed.
