Authentic traditional Malaysian cuisine got its influence from traders coming from countries like the Middle East, India, China, Indonesia, etc. Influence from these countries makes Malaysian cuisine extremely cultural and traditional. It all resulted in a cuisine full of flavours, colours, spices, and herbs.

Malaysian cuisine can be divided into three parts: Indian, Malay, and Chinese. Malaysia shares some common dishes with Indonesia. With lots of cultural diversity, the cuisine has transformed drastically and is now full of different and unique flavours.

Malay food is spicy, aromatic, and full of richness. Some dishes are very strong and very spicy, while others are moderately spicy and flavorful. Malay people are very passionate about their food preferences.
