5 Best Outdoor Restaurants in Miami

Miami’s pleasant climate and wide selection of outdoor dining options are undeniable facts. As luck would have it, the Sunshine State also boasts a fantastic setting for eating al fresco. Whether you’re looking for a beachside cabana, a terrace high above the city lights, or a table anchored by the water, Miami’s landscape provides the ideal setting for al fresco eating. In an effort to help you make the most of your limited time in Miami, we have mapped out some of the city’s most beautiful options for eating outside. Bon Appetit!

Amara At Paraiso

Unless you have a boat or are a manatee, you won’t be able to go much closer to Biscayne Bay than Amara. This is not the best option if you are a herbivorous marine mammal, but it is fantastic for everyone else. Almost everything on the menu is fish or seafood-based, from oysters to a fantastic grilled snapper. If you want to see the vista at its best, you should go during the day, and if you want to ensure yourself a table outside, you should call ahead and make a reservation.

Doya

Only a few Wynwood eateries can be relied upon for excellent food and comfortable outdoor sitting. In reality, though, there is just Doya. While not enormous, their patio is green, attractive, and shaded by umbrellas. They have a large selection of delicious meze meals that are great for sharing, making this a great spot for large gatherings. The enormous mussels are served in a well-balanced wine and garlic sauce, the octopus in the octopus salad is as tender as fresh mozzarella, and the lamb kebab is delicious. There hasn’t been a single dish we’ve tried here that we didn’t devour.

Chug’s Diner

While we prefer to squeeze into one of Chug’s springy seats, the Coconut Grove Cuban cafe also offers a fantastic patio. The large courtyard has shaded tables and plants, and it is set back from the sidewalk so that you won’t be bothered by passing pedestrians. A guava gimlet on a night in the 70s or Miami’s best pancakes on a Sunday morning couldn’t be enjoyed in a more ideal environment.

Lagniappe

Lagniappe is more of a bar than a restaurant, but the tiny food selection and pleasant atmosphere make it worth visiting for supper even if the silverware is disposable. Grilled churrasco, mahi, salmon, chicken, and sautéed vegetables are all wonderful choices, as are the excellent meat and cheese plates, which you can enjoy in the backyard after grabbing a bottle of wine inside. If you can manage to get there before the swarms of people on their first dates, you’ll have a better chance of getting a seat.

Ironside Kitchen Pizza & Coffee Co

Outdoor seating at Ironside is always a good idea. The courtyard is a great place to eat lunch on sunny days, with plenty of trees and plants and even some weekend live music. Even though the pasta is good, we generally end up eating pizza here because of the romantic atmosphere created by the string lights that hang over the tables at night. This is a bring-your-own-alcoholic-beverage establishment, so stock up before you go.

Make sure to visit these places and enjoy the tasty food over here whenever you are in Miami. Have a good munching ahead.
