Wanna impress your date? Here are some fine dining etiquettes that you should follow

Published:

Dates can be a real intimidating experience especially if you really like them and they are really selective and have high standards and you know you didn’t get your shot easily 😉

Whether you are a lady or a gentleman, you know you are really into them if you are scared to mess up and if so, we have got your back and are here with some fine dining etiquette tips that are sure to impress your partner:

  1. The Venue: When it comes to dating, first things first is to pay attention to the details. Make sure you pick a place that has food or cuisine of their liking and has an elegant ambiance to set the date mood, not some fast food joint to just hog food for cheap.
  1. Attire:  The first fundamental of personality is the attire. Don’t pick something overly fancy or overly revealing. Rather, let it be something classy and comforting that expresses you and makes you feel confident.
  1. Table Manners: Table manners are crucial on a date. Start by pulling out the chair for your partner(if you are a guy) and allow them to order first. Use the appropriate cutlery for each course, and avoid talking with your mouth full. Place your napkin on your lap, and use it to wipe your mouth between courses.
  1. Wine: Ordering wine can be a daunting experience, but it’s an essential part of fine dining. If you’re not familiar with wine, ask the server for recommendations. Hold the glass by the stem, and avoid swirling the wine excessively. Don’t fill the glass more than half-full, and allow your partner to taste the wine first.
  1. Conversation: Conversation is a vital part of any date, but it’s essential to keep it light and positive. Avoid discussing controversial topics such as politics or religion, and don’t talk about your ex. Focus on getting to know your partner and showing interest in what they have to say.
  1. Tipping: Tipping is an important part of fine dining etiquette. The standard tip is 15-20% of the total bill, but you can tip more if the service was exceptional.
  2. Be Present: Fine dining is an experience that should be enjoyed and savored. Put your phone away and focus on your partner. Enjoy the ambiance, the food, and each other’s company.

It can be a really daunting or intimidating experience but the main thing is you are spending time with someone you like and it is important to spend each moment with them and enjoy it. Don’t fake it and be you, we are sure they will love you as you are and if you really follow these tips then it is certain this is not gonna be the last date 😉
