Heineken NV registers 4.5% growth, Kingfisher Ultra boosts numbers in India

Dutch Beer maker Heineken NV saw a 4.5% growth in its premium category in the September quarter, driven by the Heineken brand, Kingfisher Ultra in India, and Savanna in Southern Africa, said Chairman and CEO Dolf van den Brink on Wednesday, October 23.

Beer volume declines 1.2% in Asia Pacific region

In the country, organic beer volume grew by mid-single digits, according to the company. Growth in India and Indonesia helped offset lower volume in Vietnam and Cambodia, but beer volume in the Asia Pacific region still declined by 1.2%.

According to Economic Times, van den Brink released a statement, saying, “We delivered a solid quarter of balanced growth, organically growing beer volume 0.7 per cent and net revenue 3.3 per cent. Our business continues to deliver in line with our plan in aggregate, despite some markets navigating challenging consumer and industry trends.”

Further he stated, “Our EverGreen strategy continues to shape our business. Premium volume grew 4.5 per cent, led by Heineken (up 8.7 per cent), with further significant contributions from Kingfisher Ultra in India and Savanna in Southern Africa.”

Meanwhile,  Heineken NV promotes United Breweries Ltd, which offers beers like Kingfisher, Zingaro, and Kalyani Black Label. The company is focusing on premium brands, with a 4.5% increase in premium beer volume in Brazil, South Africa, and India in the July-September quarter, led by the Heineken brand.
