Hindustan Unilever registers 4% net profit decline in Q2 FY25

Hindustan Unilever (HUL) reported a 4% drop in standalone net profit for the quarter ending September 2024 on Wednesday, October 23, with profits at INR 2,612 crore compared to INR 2,717 crore in the same period last year.

HUL reports 2% revenue growth to INR 15,319 cr

Revenue from operations in the reported quarter was INR 15,319 crore, up 2% from INR 15,027 crore in the same quarter last year. The company declared a total interim dividend of INR 29 per share. The record date is November 6, and the dividend will be paid to shareholders on November 21.

Additionally, The profit after tax (PAT) is INR 2,657 crore, and the revenue is INR 15,792 crore. The company announced that its board of directors has decided to separate the ice cream business. This decision follows the recommendations of an Independent Committee after a thorough review of the business, according to the company filing.

Furthermore, Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter was INR 3,647 crore, compared to INR 3,694 crore in the same quarter last year. The EBITDA margin at 23.8% dropped by 80 basis points compared to last year’s same quarter.
