Snapdeal reports 1.8 fold surge in order volumes during festive sale

Snapdeal, a value-lifestyle platform, saw a 1.8-fold increase in order volumes during its festive sale that ended on 15 October 2024, compared to last year’s festive season, the company said in a press release on Monday, October 21.

Women apparel 2.5X, Kid’s fashion 2X, Men’s attire sales  grow by 1.9X

According to India Retailing, Orders for women’s fashion items like kurtis, dupattas, lehengas, tops, and tunics increased 2.5 times. Kids’ fashion, including suit sets, frocks, dresses, and ethnic wear, saw two-fold growth. Men’s fashion items like ethnic footwear, short and long kurtas, and kurta pyjama sets grew by 1.9 times during this period.

Furthermore, Orders for home decor items grew by 1.6 times, with top sellers being furniture, home accessories, bedsheets, mattresses, and pillow covers. The sale featured discounts on various products: pooja essentials starting at INR 99, sweets from INR 129, kurta sets from INR 269, Banarasi sarees under INR 499, and necklaces under INR 299.

Snapdeal  ‘Har Din Tyohaar’ sale

Notably, Snapdeal’s festive sale is followed by the ‘Har Din Tyohaar’ sale, which began on 8 October and will run until 7 November 2024.

Snapdeal is an e-commerce company for value-priced items in home, fashion, beauty, and personal care. Over 90% of its products cost under INR 1,000, and over 86% of orders come from outside metro cities.
