Keeping our bodies healthy and strong during the winter can be challenging! As much as one enjoys winter, the fact remains that it can be harmful to one’s health. A sore throat, cold, cough, and body pain are expected during the winter and can cause you to curl up on the bed under a quilt. Fortunately, there are many soothing and wonderful types of herbal tea available to provide the support you require. Herbal teas are regarded as warriors in the fight against poor health. Because winter has arrived, we’d share some healthy and simple-to-make herbal tea recipes.

Turmeric Tea

Turmeric is used in Indian medicinal culture. Curcumin, an active compound, provides anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, antiviral, and antifungal properties. Turmeric is rich in antioxidants, which save the body from free radicals and boosts the immune system. It is effective against the flu and the common cold. A little lemon juice and honey in your turmeric tea will improve the taste and provide essential phytonutrients and vitamin C.

liquorice root Tea

Liquorice root adds a subtle sweetness to any tea mixed with it. It has numerous health benefits, like antiviral and antimicrobial properties that can help increase your immune system and keep you healthy. Liquorice root should be consumed in moderation, so limit yourself to a few cups of liquorice root tea daily.

Ginger Tea

Ginger, like turmeric, has antimicrobial properties that can help enhance your immune system and keep you safe and healthy. Ginger gives tea blends a slightly sweet, slightly spicy flavour.

Lemongrass Tea

Lemongrass is the most common ingredient in a variety of citrus-flavoured tea blends. According to recent research, lemongrass has antibacterial properties that can help protect the body from illness. It is also high in antioxidants and can aid in inflammation reduction.

Peppermint Tea

Peppermint is refreshing, minty, and soothing. It has antimicrobial and antiviral properties, is high in antioxidants, has several other health benefits and is most commonly used in herbal teas.

These have beneficial properties that can help strengthen your immune system. While these have many health benefits, they are not a substitute for professional medical treatment when you are sick. If your health is deteriorating, you should always seek medical attention. When these teas are combined with a healthy balanced diet, the health benefits are maximised. So, incorporate them into your routine to stay healthy this winter.
