Reliance Retail Ventures Limited’s FMCG division, Reliance Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), is a company-owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL). Today, RRVL announced that it would buy a 50% equity position in Socio Hazuri Beverages Private Limited, which has its headquarters in Gujarat (SHBPL). Under the umbrella brand “Sosyo,” the corporation controls and runs the beverage industry. The Hajuri family, the current promoters, will continue to own the remaining shares of SHBPL.

SOSYO HAJURI IS A 100-YEAR-OLD INDIAN HERITAGE BRAND. With almost a century of history in juices and carbonated soft drinks (CSD), Socio is a renowned Indian brand. Abbas Abdulrahim Hajoori founded the business in 1923 and is now a significant player in the domestic soft drink industry. The SHBPL portfolio of beverage brands includes Socio, Kashmira, Lemmy, Jin Lim, Runner, Opener, Hajoori Soda, and S’eau. It is led by Abbas Hajoori and his son, Aliasgar Hajoori. The company’s significant experience in formulation research has allowed it to launch more than 100 flavours. Gujarat has a sizable, devoted customer base for the Socio brand.

Isha Ambani is assisting in the creation of new growth opportunities.

With locally created and best-value consumer brands and goods, RCPL seeks to enlighten Indian consumers. The historic beverage brand “Campa” and the recently launched packaged consumer products brand “Independence” are currently represented in the company’s brand portfolio. Additionally, RCPL is developing a distinct and focused retail distribution network for its fast-expanding portfolio of consumer brands

Abbas Hajoori, Chairman of Socio Hajoori Beverages Pvt Ltd, commented on this partnership with RCPL in the following manner: “We are thrilled to work with Reliance Consumer Products; the company is a strong and willing partner, and it has assisted Socio in swiftly expanding its reach. We will make Socio’s distinctive beverage goods available to all Indian consumers by combining our capabilities. This marks a turning point in our nearly 100-year history in the beverage industry.

After acquiring the renowned brand Campa, Reliance has already bolstered its beverage range with this joint venture by utilizing Socio’s experience in formulations. Additionally, Socio’s formulation expertise can be used to develop a product portfolio and an unprecedented value offer for customers.
