Marriott International and Prestige Falcon Realty to open The Mumbai EDITION in 2028

Marriott International has signed an agreement with Prestige Falcon Realty Ventures to open The Mumbai EDITION on Wednesday, October 16, which is expected to debut in 2028. This will be the brand’s first hotel in India.

Marriott announces The Mumbai EDITION at Bandra-Kurla Complex

According to Economic Times, Marriott announced that The Mumbai EDITION will be located in the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), surrounded by 12 million square feet of commercial space. Rajeev Menon, president of Asia Pacific excluding China at Marriott International, explained, “We look forward to bringing the EDITION flair to the vibrant metropolis of Mumbai, where tradition and modernity blend seamlessly. The signing highlights our commitment to strengthening the presence of our luxury portfolio in India, while demonstrating guests continued demand for luxury accomodations and experiences.”

“We will continue to strategically expand our footprint and match brands with complementary destinations to cater to the ever-evolving guest demands. We are excited to team up once again with Prestige Falcon Realty Ventures Private Limited, to bring this vision to life,” he stated.

Prestige Group cites agreement as ‘milestone’

Furthermore, Irfan Razack, chairman and managing director of Prestige Group, called this a ‘milestone’ for The EDITION brand in South Asia. He said, “With its vibrant energy and contemporary flair, The EDITION accurately captures the innovative spirit that defines Prestige Group. The Mumbai EDITION comes with the promise of a one-of-a-kind experience in Mumbai, offering unforgettable new-age hospitality at its finest.”

Interestingly, The Mumbai EDITION will have 182 luxury guest rooms, including a penthouse suite. It will feature a lively lobby bar, a rooftop terrace with a pool, a spa, a wellness facility, a fitness centre, and several bars and restaurants. There will also be 1,385 square metres of meeting and banquet space.
