Everyone wants to seem like they are in the know about the latest in the world of online film and television. The virtual world is vast and interesting on its own, but it’s even more fun to explore with a friend. It doesn’t matter if it’s a member of your own family, a friend, a relative, or a date; the occasion just isn’t complete without snacks to share. Over-the-top (OTT) video services like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are pitching themselves as trustworthy sidekicks for our #WFH setups, thanks to their extensive libraries of forthcoming movies and shows that will keep us occupied and entertained until 2022. So, first, we will recommend some recent movies that everyone should see, and then we will advise some dishes to try.

Some recent content that one may enjoy are:

1. Human (January 14)

Human, a thriller written and directed by Shefali Shah and starring Kirti Kulhari, delves deep into the implications of unapproved medical experiments. A migrant labourer dies on the watch of two doctors (Shah and Kulhari) due to the use of an illegal substance. Soon, what was once a means of saving lives will be used to take them for financial gain.

2. Asur Season 2

This Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti-led psychological thriller surprised viewers with its convoluted plot and well-written characters, and it looks set to make a comeback this year. The show, which left viewers hanging at the end of season one, is set in the city of Varanasi and centres on two CBI agents who are up against a depraved serial murderer who embarks on a murdering spree around the city.

3. Bulbul Tarang

The city of Kannauj in Uttar Pradesh serves as the backdrop for a film whose central theme is the rejection of mindless customs. Bulbul (Sonakshi Sinha), the bride-to-be, is sad when she learns that her intended, Tahir Raj Bhasin, cannot ride a horse to their wedding because of social constraints. As she struggles to come to terms with this new reality, she decides to confront the traditional beliefs of the village’s elders.

4. Jamtara- Sabka Number Ayega season 2

After a critically acclaimed first season, the show that exposed the truth about India’s phishing rackets has been picked up for a second season. The story follows a gang of young men from the city named in the title, located in the Indian state of Jharkhand. But things get muddled when an unscrupulous politician tries to get his hands on some of their money. As the lines between politics and crime continue to blur, the upcoming season will include greater figures joining the picture.

5. Penthouse

When Vikram Saxena invites his five married friends to live in his luxurious penthouse, he has no idea his decision is about to spiral into a tangled catastrophe. The invitation to what seemed like the perfect getaway quickly turned sour as the body of a woman was found there. As the shocking truth slowly emerges, relationships (both platonic and conjugal) inevitably suffer. Bobby Deol, Arjun Rampal, Sharman Joshi, Mouni Roy, and others are among the film’s cast.

6. Rudra: The edge of Darkness

This gritty whodunit is Ajay Devgn’s first foray into the world of over-the-top (OTT) television and is an Indian version of the BBC’s Luther. He’ll put on the khakis and play a cop in Mumbai who’s trying to solve some horrible crimes. Even though Devgn has played a police officer many times before, the producers of Rudra have promised that his portrayal in the series will be unlike any other. Esha Deol also plays an integral part in the series.

7. Four More Shots Please S3

Four More Shots Please’s highly awaited third season, which was nominated for an Emmy, will soon be available. Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Maanvi Gagroo, and Bani J play key parts in the show. Picking up where the second season left off, Four More Shots Please brings back the four imperfect women for more action.

Now having told you about the different contents which you can watch on online platforms, let us tell you about some of the food items which you can have during watching these-

1. Popcorn

Ever since movies have been around, popcorn has been the go-to snack to munch on while watching. They represent the cliché, and the cliche is correct. Popcorn is a necessity for any movie-watching experience, whether at the theatre or at home on the couch. These delicious treats are simple to prepare at home using prepackaged popcorn and a microwave. They are available in a wide variety of flavours, including butter, classic salted, tomato tango, caramel, and chilli surprise, to name just a few.

2. Potato Chips

After all, being a couch potato and eating potato chips all day is the height of coolness right now. Wintertime and the holidays are synonymous with staying in bed late, eating leftovers, and watching reruns of Friends with loved ones. I see, but haven’t you been doing that all through the year 2020? It’s almost tragic that you’ve been cooped up indoors for so much longer than you requested. However, it is always a good idea to couple up a few packets (or manufacture them at home) to make the time spent in quarantine more enjoyable. You can have a bowl (it only takes 10 minutes) of potato chips and your favourite movies in front of the TV and watch them until you pass out. When storing homemade chips for later use, keep them cool and sealed in insulated food storage containers or airtight jars.

3. Ice cream

Ice cream, maybe the only food universally enjoyed by people of all ages, is a universal favourite. Creamy, delectable, flavorful ice creams in every imaginable flavour and colour likely make up a significant portion of the heavenly fare. And because they help you relax and unwind, ice creams are also fantastic mood boosters. And they’re perfect for every genre of film, from sci-fi to horror classics.

4. Roasted Chickpeas

Some people may not like chickpeas in general, but I highly doubt they have ever experienced roasted chickpeas. Chickpeas include a lot of vitamins and fibre, and they’re really tasty. Toss them with a salad or roast, or enjoy them with some sauce and bread on the side. They’re a great option for a satisfying nibble that will get you through the rest of your show without making you hungry.

5. Cold Drinks

You’ll need to drink a lot of water to wash down all this stuff. And what better way to enjoy a few cold ones than to do so while gawking at the Bly Manor or while watching the timeless F.R.I.E.N.D.S.! Fresh fruit juices or carbonated drink in an insulated tumbler is an absolute necessity for every binge-watching snack.

Having told you about all the different content one can watch on OTT platforms and the different snacks you can accompany them with, we hope that your time watching them will be enjoyable. Tell us the mail mailto:review@snackfax.com
