Aside from dieting, one of the most prevalent tactics used by persons attempting to lose weight is exercise. It burns calories, which is important for weight loss. Exercise has many other benefits than helping you lose weight, such as increased mood, stronger bones, and a lower chance of numerous chronic conditions.
After all the vacations and parties are done it’s time to buckle up and get our schedule sorted and be on track with some fun and exciting exercises.
We have made a list of some exercises that you can do at your home using your couch which you use for relaxation.
Without wasting time let’s start.
- Sit-stand (core, legs, glutes).
Place your feet slightly apart on the edge of the sofa. Stand up, then sit with your arms extended in front of you. Concentrate on engaging your abdomen and leg muscles.
- Tricep dips
Tricep dips strengthen the tricep muscles in the rear of the upper arms. You may also work on your abs by activating your core.
- Hip thrusts
Sit on the couch with your knees bent and both feet flat on the ground to perform them. Lean back so that your shoulder blades are on the sofa, chin tucked into your chest, hands at the side of your head, and raise your hips as high as you can while clenching your glutes.
- Incline Push-Ups
Push-ups are probably already in your toning arsenal, but incline push-ups have an added advantage: they’re easier for novices or those trying to get back into fitness. You’ll target your pecs with incline push-ups, just like you would with a standard push-up, but you’ll also reduce the tension on your elbows.
So, whether you want to work out during your lunch break or in the evening while relaxing and watching TV, here are a few trainer-approved couch exercises to try. Warning: Just because these moves are suitable for the sofa doesn’t mean they won’t make you sweat.
