Do you know how you can avoid Monday morning blues? By having a delicious and fulfilling breakfast and what can be more perfect than having homemade samosas with green chilli sauce?

Who might not know samosa but for those who are a bit confused about what we are preparing today, I will tell you that Samosa is a deep-fried roll of white flour with a filling made with potatoes and spices.

There’s an easy recipe to make samosas at home in no time.

Ingredients:

1. Potatoes

2. Maida

3. Spices

4. Ghee or oil

5. Green chillies

6. Green peas

7. Water

How to make it?

1.     Wash and boil potatoes.

2.     Peel the boiled potatoes

3.     Crush the potatoes and crumble them.

4.     Make samosa dough: To a mixing bowl, add 2 cups organic maida, ¾ tablespoon ajwain, ¾ tablespoon salt and 4 tablespoon oil or ghee

5.     Mix everything well. Then start making dough using water.

6.     Cover it and keep it for 15-20 minutes.

7.     Heat 1 tablespoon ghee or oil in a pan and add ¾ tablespoon cumin seeds.

8.     Add 1 -2 chopped green chillies and sauté them for 30-40 seconds.

9.     Add mashed potatoes to it and add spices according to taste. Add red chili powder, garam masala, salt, chaat masala and fennel powder.

10.  Add green peas to it. Mix it well.

11.  Saute them for 2-3 mins until they mix well.

12.  Take the dough and make an oval-shaped layer (not too thin)

13.  Cut it in the centre to make 2 parts.

14.  Apply little water  over the straight edge

15.  Join the edges to make a cone and stick them

16.  Fill it with the potato mix that you made

17.  Apply water on the edge and then stick them together.

18.  Now, it’s time to fry them. Heat oil in the pan and fry them till they turn light brown in colour. (Fry on slow gas, so that it becomes crispy)

Now, what? It’s time to have samosas for breakfast on Monday morning.
