Pizza With A Twist: A healthier version of regular Pizza

Make way for Pizza! Every child loves Pizza; they can have it at any time. But mommies are not happy with this junk food and keep avoiding it. Come on, Mommy! Now you can make the healthy version of Pizza at home and proudly and fearlessly serve the dish to your kid. Here we are bringing a healthy pizza recipe with which you can remain guilt-free. Let’s jump to the recipe part.

Ingredients

Dough

¼ tsp baking soda

1 tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

2 tbsp olive oil

¼ cup curd

water (for kneading)

For instant pizza sauce:

½ cup tomato sauce

¼ cup chilli sauce

1 tsp chilli flakes

1 tsp mixed herbs

For toppings:

onion

capsicum

tomato

jalapeno

olives

sweet corn

cheese

Directions

To make the pizza dough, 

  • Mix 2 cups wheat flour, ¼ teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, and ½ teaspoon salt in a large bowl.
  • Mix everything properly.
  • Add ¼ cup curd, 2 tablespoons olive oil, and water.
  • Begin kneading the dough, adding water as needed.
  • Knead a smooth and soft dough.
  • Grease the dough, cover, and set aside for 20 minutes.

Instant pizza sauce:

Mix ½ cup tomato sauce, ¼ cup chilli sauce, 1 tsp chilli flakes, and 1 tsp mixed herbs in a bowl.

  • Mix everything properly.
  • The pizza sauce is ready. Set aside.

Pizza Assembly

  • knead the dough slightly after it has rested for 20 minutes.
  • Uniformly roll a ball of dough.
  • Roll the dough gently in wheat flour.
  • Roll to a uniform thickness while remaining slightly thick.
  • Using a fork, prick the roti. This helps to keep the Pizza from puffing up.
  • Cook the base until it is half-cooked in a hot pan.
  • Flip it over and spread the pizza sauce on top.
  • Also, add onion, capsicum, tomato, jalapeno, olives, and sweet corn to the top.
  • Top with more cheese and vegetables.
  • Sprinkle it with chilli flakes and mixed herbs.
  • Cover and cook for 10 minutes or until the base is thoroughly cooked.
  • Finally, cut the wheat pizza into slices and serve.
