Despite its name, chocolate salami is a sweet treat made from a mixture of chocolate, butter, and biscuit crumbs, all rolled up to look like a savory salami. In this article, we’ll show you how to make a delicious chocolate salami that’s perfect for any occasion.

With every bite, you’ll savor the velvety texture of dark chocolate, blended perfectly with butter and biscuit crumbs to create a decadent and satisfying dessert. And if you’re feeling adventurous, you can even add chopped nuts or dried fruit to give your chocolate salami a delicious crunch. 

Not only is chocolate salami easy to make, but it’s also perfect for sharing with friends and family. Whether you’re hosting a party or simply looking for a creative and impressive dessert, chocolate salami is sure to be a hit.

Ingredients:

  • 200g of dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 100g of butter
  • 150g of granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 150g of biscuit crumbs (digestive biscuits work well)
  • 50g of chopped nuts (optional)
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a heatproof bowl set over a pan of simmering water, stirring occasionally until smooth.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs together until pale and fluffy.
  3. Add the melted chocolate and butter mixture to the egg mixture and stir until well combined.
  4. Stir in the biscuit crumbs and chopped nuts, if using.
  5. Place the mixture onto a sheet of cling film and roll it up tightly to create a log shape. Twist the ends of the cling film to secure.
  6. Refrigerate the chocolate salami for at least 3 hours, or until firm.
  7. Once firm, remove the cling film and dust the chocolate salami with powdered sugar to give it a “salami” look.
  8. Slice and serve!
