Keto-Friendly Samosas: A perfect snack for those following a low-carb lifestyle

[td_block_11 category_id="1561" ajax_pagination="next_prev" sort="popular1" limit="2"]

Keto-friendly samosas are a low-carb version of the classic Indian snack. Unlike traditional samosas, which are made with potatoes and other starchy vegetables, keto-friendly samosas are made with a filling of protein-rich ingredients like ground beef, chicken, or pork. The pastry is also made with almond flour or coconut flour instead of wheat flour, making it much lower in carbohydrates.

Keto-friendly samosas are a perfect snack for anyone following a low-carb lifestyle. Additionally, they are a great source of protein, which can help keep you feeling full and satisfied longer. Keto-friendly samosas are also much easier to make than traditional samosas, as the pastry does not require any deep-frying.

Moreover, they are a great way to satisfy your snack cravings without having to worry about consuming too many carbohydrates.

Here is how to make Keto-Friendly Samosas:

Ingredients:

For the Filling:

• 1 pound ground beef, chicken, or pork

• ½ cup diced onion

• ½ cup diced bell pepper

• ½ cup diced mushrooms

• 2 cloves garlic, minced

• 1 teaspoon ground cumin

• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

• 1 teaspoon ground coriander

• ½ teaspoon ground turmeric

• Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Pastry:

• 2 cups almond flour or coconut flour

• ½ teaspoon baking powder

• 2 tablespoons melted coconut oil or ghee

• ¼ cup water

Instructions to Make

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

2. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef, chicken, or pork and cook until the meat is browned and cooked through.

3. Add the onion, bell pepper, mushrooms, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, and turmeric. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the vegetables are softened.

4. Remove the mixture from the heat and set aside.

5. In a bowl, combine the almond flour or coconut flour, baking powder, melted coconut oil or ghee, and water. Mix until a dough forms.

6. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the dough until it is about ⅛-inch thick. Cut the dough into circles using a biscuit cutter or the rim of a glass.

7. Place 1 tablespoon of the filling onto each circle. Fold the dough over the filling and pinch the edges together to form a triangle.

8. Place the samosas onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

9. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the samosas are golden brown.

10. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce.
