Ingredients for Spicy Bengali Mutton Rezala:

  • 1 kg mutton
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1 tbsp ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 2 tbsp ghee
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 2-3 green chilies, chopped
  • Salt to taste

Preparation of Spicy Bengali Mutton Rezala:

Step 1: Clean the mutton and cut it into small pieces. Marinate the mutton with yogurt, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Keep it aside for at least 2 hours.

Step 2: In a pan, heat ghee and oil. Add cumin seeds and let it splutter.

Step 3: Add sliced onions and fry until golden brown.

Step 4: Add ginger paste and garlic paste. Fry until the raw smell goes away.

Step 5: Add coriander powder and fry for a minute.

Step 6: Add marinated mutton and fry until it is browned.

Step 7: Add water and let it simmer for 30-40 minutes or until the mutton is cooked.

Step 8: Add garam masala and chopped green chilies. Mix well.

Step 9: Let it simmer for 5-10 minutes.

Step 10: Spicy Bengali Mutton Rezala is ready to serve.

Garnish it with coriander leaves and serve hot.
