Budweiser to offer all Buds to World Cup Winning country for free as Qatar bans beer at Venues

After Qatar enforced a last-minute restriction on beer at the stadiums for the FIFA World Cup 2022, Budweiser announced it will give all of its excess lager beer to the winning country. The beer company Budweiser posted on Twitter,  “New Day, New Tweet. The winning Country gets the Buds. Who will get them?”

According to FIFA President Gianni Infantino, beer sales at World Cup venues were banned at the last minute by Qatar. The President of FIFA recently remarked at a news conference that fans just need three hours without booze to start feeling the effects of withdrawal.

He commented, “If for three hours a day you cannot drink beer, you will survive. Maybe there is a reason why in France, Spain, and Scotland, alcohol is banned in stadiums. Maybe they (Qataris) are more intelligent than us, had thought maybe we should be doing that.”

Later that day, Anheuser-Busch InBev, the parent company of the Budweiser brand and the largest brewer in the world, issued a statement to Reuters saying: “some of the planned stadium activations cannot move forward due to circumstances beyond our control.”

It used to be the case that Budweiser, one of FIFA 2022’s official sponsors, could sell beer at sanctioned World Cup sites in Qatar. Alcoholic beverages will be served during the FIFA Fan Festival, a designated party area with live music and activities for football fans.

Meanwhile, fans were disappointed with the sudden decision as an Ecuador fan told the news agency AFP that this is quite sad. The fan said,  “That’s quite sad because, you know, with this weather and all the excitement we have, of course, we want a beer at least once.”

Moreover, two England fans claimed they ended up at a Sheikh’s palace while on the hunt for beer in Qatar. One of the supporters named John revealed having a chance to meet with the royalty the night before while looking for something to drink.

Also, Budwiser is seeking 47M from FIFA after a last-minute alcohol ban.

Since 1986, Budweiser has been a significant sponsor of the event, spending tens of millions of dollars to secure sole distribution rights for their beer.

Budweiser, though, is reportedly demanding roughly $47 million from FIFA after the last-minute move rendered the company’s sponsorship of the tournament moot.

The Daily Mail says that Anheuser-Busch has signed an agreement with FIFA worth $75 million to be the official beer supplier of this year’s event, and a deal worth $112 million for the 2026 tournament to be held in North America.

Alcoholic beer will still be sold during the FIFA Fan Festival, and champagne, wine, and liquor should be available to VIPs.

Marico Limited: Marico Introduces Second Career Program That Is Open To All Genders

0

Marico Ltd., a business with a dominant position in the fast-moving consumer goods market, has just announced that it will be establishing Phoenix. This second career path is open to people of both sexes. According to the statement that was included in the press release that the company distributed, the Phoenix programme is a career transition programme that will offer opportunities to working professionals who have taken a career sabbatical of at least one year and are interested in returning to the corporate sector.

Candidates who have taken time away from the programme to focus on their health, reach their goals, or follow their hobbies are invited to apply for this job. The role requires candidates to have spent time away from the programme.

Applicants are expected to have a minimum of two years of professional experience for their candidacy to be considered for the programme.

Project-based recruiting accounts for a significant percentage of the hiring process; successful applicants will be hired as consultants for six, nine, or twelve months, depending on the project’s duration. The level of success they achieve in the tasks assigned to them will determine whether or not they are invited to join the team in the long run.

When determining whether or not to hire a candidate for a lateral position, previous work experience is one factor that is considered.

“We are aware that the average worker in this day and age has a particular image in their head of what a prosperous career should look like in terms of its structure. Some people feel compelled to take a hiatus from their professional activities because of changes that have occurred in their personal lives or the responsibilities of being a parent. We reasoned that it shouldn’t make a difference how long either gender spends away from the workforce during breaks or vacations because it ought to be available to people of both sexes.” In the words of Amit Prakash, who holds the position of Chief Human Resources Officer of Marico Ltd.

Britannia plans to boost its cheese business five times in the next 5 years.

0

Britannia Industries, a major manufacturer of bakery goods, predicts that sales of cheese products will increase by a factor of five over the next five years, reaching approximately Rs 1,250 crore.

On Thursday, Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Varun Berry revealed that the company’s cheese division generates roughly Rs 250 crore in revenue. This comes after the company established a joint venture with the French cheese maker Bel earlier this week.

He told PTI that the government is hopeful the recent drop in palm oil prices, stability in sugar prices, and recent increases in wheat prices will lead to more stable commodity pricing in the future.

According to Britannia Industries Executive Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Varun Berry, the business expects domestic consumers to drive development in the cheese market, prompting a planned investment of Rs 160 crore over the next three years.

“Plant and equipment amount to Rs 150 crore that we have already invested. We want to spend about Rs 160 crore over the next three years, “In the words of Berry.

Berry claims that the cheese market is tiny, valued at a combined Rs 5,000 crore ($870 million) across both consumer and B2B sales, and is dominated by quick service restaurants.

“However, its growth rate is extremely high (22.3% CAGR). He continued, “This (consumer) market in the next five years should be closer to Rs 15,000 crore in the next seven years. It’s destined to be a blockbuster.”

Berry emphasized that even if the business received a fraction of that amount, it would still be considered a “fantastic achievement.”

He predicted that in the next five years, the company would expand by at least a factor of five.

Berry estimated that Britannia’s current cheese business was worth around Rs 250 crore when asked about its size.

It was revealed earlier this week that Britannia and Bel would form a 51:49 JV by selling a stake in BDPL, which is entirely controlled by Britannia (Britannia Dairy Private Limited).

Accordingly, the company is now known as Britannia Bel Foods. The JV intends to expand into adjacent categories after beginning production of cheese products at their Ranjangaon, Maharashtra facility.

Britannia Bel Foods is narrowing its scope to the local market for milk products with added value. In addition, JV owns the marketing rights to nearby markets like Nepal, Bhutan, and Myanmar.

Currently, some of the products are imported, but Britannia Bel Foods plans to start domestic manufacturing in stages, making them more inexpensive and accessible to customers.

Cecile Biot, CEO of BEL Group, has claimed that Britannia is a formidable competitor in India because of its iconic brand and extensive distribution network. This partnership is poised to dominate the rapidly expanding Indian cheese market thanks to the contributions of both parties.

With hopes of becoming a food conglomerate, Britannia is “studying a wide range of nearby, alternative formats. There’s going to be a lot of action unfolding, “Berry remarked.

The Tirunelveli (Tamil Nadu), Bihar, and Uttar Pradesh locations are the site of three new plants the business is building. He also mentioned that the company is investing in developing its facilities in Orissa and Ranjangaon, Maharashtra.

Berry has stated that there is currently no reduction in commodity prices.

“Palm oil is the only commodity showing signs of relaxation right now. The price of wheat has been steadily increasing recently. Sugar prices have been relatively steady. Generally speaking, we have experienced little change, if any, other than a flattening or mild inflation. Things should begin to stabilize as we move forward, “He added.

The Bel Group is an industry powerhouse, particularly in the cheese and healthy snacking sectors. In 2021, the Group’s sales amounted to 3.38 billion Euros.

The months of June through October are typically the most productive months for harvesting tea in India, which is the world’s second-largest producer of tea.

The Tea Board said that the average price of a kilogram of tea in October reached 185.16 rupees, which is about similar to the United States dollar amount of $2.28. This is a 10.5% increase from the previous year’s total.

The country’s primary export destinations for the CTC (crush-tear-curl) grade are Egypt and the United Kingdom. The orthodox variety is sent to Iraq, Iran, and Russia. ($1 = 81.1570 Indian rupees).

Viral Video of American Blogger Making Chicken Tikka Masala Impresses Desis

0

As a result, restaurants serving Indian food are popping up worldwide. Celebrities aren’t the only ones whose eating habits we can observe through the media; we also see them experimenting with new recipes at home. Some of our favorite Hollywood diva chefs, from Mindy Kaling to Padma Lakshmi, are Indian food chefs.

Bloggers who write about food from around the world are included. Recently, a well-known American food blogger, My Nguyen, cooked a tasty new take on Chicken Tikka Masala. Her fanbase expanded to include Indian gourmands after the release of this dish. Check out the clip she posted:

The video was uploaded to the official handle of the American blogger, who goes by the name of @myhealthydish, and shared with the internet. She explained in the caption why, despite Butter Chicken’s tremendous popularity, Chicken Tikka Masala was her go-to dish when entertaining guests at home. “Don’t forget to write down my recipe for Chicken Tikka Masala! Even though the ingredients are relatively similar, I enjoy this dish more than butter chicken since it has a healthier balance of flavors, “she had written. In the video, the American food blogger demonstrated how she produced fantastic chicken tikka masala using a few straightforward ingredients in their place. Instead of using tomatoes that were freshly arrived, she used canned tomatoes to make the gravy.

In addition, she mentioned that since fenugreek can be challenging to obtain, it might be best to exclude it from the recipe altogether. Instead of adding an excessive amount of milk and butter, Nguyen utilized some cashews that had been soaked to achieve the same creamy consistency. This resulted in a significantly less calorically-dense dish than the traditional butter chicken recipe, which calls for copious amounts of cream and butter.

Snackfax Recommends: Best restaurant in Delhi Serving South Asian & Himalayan Cuisine

0

Long-standing establishment Yeti has consistently upheld its reputation for serving delectable Nepalese, Tibetan, and Bhutanese cuisine. This eatery is one of the few establishments in the HKV market where patrons may enjoy a great meal while seated without loud music. The setting is straightforward and unpretentious, with wooden furniture and accents like prayer flags and wheels from Bhutan.

Address: Yeti – The Himalayan Kitchen – 30, 1st Floor, Hauz Khas Village, New Delhi
Phone No.: 011 33106044

We’ll start with a few mocktails. Yeti’s Lemon is a straightforward and flavorful concoction made with fresh lime, mint leaves, vanilla sugar, and soda. The Fresh Watermelon Juice is also good. Ming Magical, a great beverage made with guava, pineapple juice, black salt, green chillies, and spices, is also excellent.

The meal with the Yeti Veg Platter was a thali that included Aloo Sadeko, Bhuteko Chana, Wai Wai Sadeko, and Tingmo, and a Tibetan steamed bun. It was on the menu. Bhuteko Chana were stir-fried chickpeas in Nepali spices, Aloo Sadeko was soft, lightly sautéed potatoes seasoned in tangy Nepali spices, and Wai Wai was dry noodles tossed with onions, tomatoes, green chillies, and a touch of Lemon.

The most well-known Bhutanese cuisine, Ema Datshi, which is cooked with cheese and chilli pepper, is served with time. The texture of the Ema Daichi was similar to fondue, and the peppers give it a subtle spicy flavour.

It’s incredible how a recipe with such few essential components can turn out well. The Veg Thukpa is a flavorful noodle soup with a lot of vegetables. The flavour of the broth just cannot be compared. Thus it must be tried.

The Chicken Dry Fry included crunchy peanuts, bell peppers, and succulent chicken chunks that were dry fried. The dish’s spicy and tangy tastes are perfectly balanced.

The best momos to order at Yeti are vegetables, chicken, and mutton varieties. The skin is relatively thin, and the filling is exceptionally juicy and flavorful despite not being spiced. Incredibly delicious are the mutton momos.

For the main course: Both vegetarian and vegan Thakali Thalis are available. The non-vegetarian version had all the same ingredients except for mutton in place of the paneer. The vegetarian version includes paneer, dal, gundruk Sadako, rai ka saag, Piro also, fried karela, pickle, papad, curd, and rice.

The gravy was incredibly flavorful and included whole spices, and the mutton was so juicy and tender. Much ghee is used in the dal to give it a rich flavour. The potatoes in the Piro also were prepared in the Darjeeling way with cumin, garlic, and turmeric, as well as the sun-dried spinach in the Gundruk Sadako. The celery roots and leaves added to the spicy fried chicken gave it a beautiful, fresh flavour.

Yomari, steamed rice dumplings from the Newari culture filled with Nutella and topped with vanilla ice cream, is a tasty way to round off a wonderful lunch.
