You’ll split your sides laughing at Zomato and Blinkit’s spin on the iconic Bollywood line, “Doodh mangoge.”

Together, Zomato and Blinkit have created a very intriguing partnership. This cooperation, which primarily relates to advertising, flips a famous Bollywood line. The two companies did this: A memorable line from the 2002 movie Maa Tujhhe Salaam was included on two billboards: one for Zomato and one for Blinkit. The sentence from the movie, which has inspired numerous memes, is as follows: Doodh mangoge, Kheer denge; Kashmir mangoge, Cheer denge (Ask for milk, we will deliver Kheer; ask for Kashmir, and we will tear you apart).

The joint advertisement by Zomato and Blinkit distorted this conversation. “Ask for milk, and we will bring it,” the yellow billboard promoting the supermarket delivery service stated.

The billboard for the food delivery service used the identical tagline, “Kheer mangoge, Kheer denge (Ask for kheer and we’ll deliver it).”

Blinkit is a grocery delivery service, whereas Zomato is one of India’s most popular meal delivery applications. Through these apps, customers may order anything from milk to kheer.

In June 2022, Zomato purchased Blinkit (formerly Grofers) for Rs 4,447 crore in an all-stock transaction. Since the last year, “quick commerce” has been our stated strategic focus. Customers have found significant value in the speedy delivery of groceries and other necessities. “As a result, we have seen this business multiply both in India and abroad,” Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal had said when the acquisition was announced.

Gunjan Patidar, a co-founder of Zomato and its chief technology officer, recently left the business. Other top-level positions held last year were those of the company’s co-founder Mohit Gupta, the head of new projects, Rahul Ganjoo, the former vice-president and head of Intercity, Siddharth Jhawar, and the co-founders Gaurav Gupta and Mohit Gupta.
