Yuvraj Singh, like any typical Punjabi, enjoys eating. In an interview with Firstpost, he said that after his treatment, he travelled to France, where he learned about various diets and how to lose weight through a healthy diet.Â
He claimed he switched from white rice to brown rice and wheat roti to gluten-free flour roti, and he began focusing on eating good carbohydrates and proteins.Â
However, he admitted that he still enjoys binge eating now and then, but that he is mainly on a ‘healthy diet’. Proteins are essential for muscle growth and boosting satiety, but excellent carbs are essential for fueling the body and supporting healthy digestion. Yuvraj and his wife both enjoy and relish food a lot.Â
Yuvraj Singh, at heart, enjoys eating home-cooked North Indian cuisine. His favourite recipes are Butter Chicken, Kadhi Chawal, and Paneer. Eating fresh food produced at home is always healthy, but fats and carbohydrates must be monitored. Yuvraj Singh is more concerned about his diet now that he has had a medical setback. He eats three meals a day, each with its set schedule, and he follows a tightly balanced diet.
Here’s what different kinds of food Yuvraj Singh has for breakfast, lunch, and dinner:
Breakfast
For breakfast, he opts for some milk with cereals along with eggs which are either boiled or half-fried. All this is accompanied by some fresh fruits and sometimes juice. Green tea is also preferably enjoyed by him.Â
Lunch
Lunch is kept simple and easy with Salad, curd, three vegetables including pulses, paneer, and seasonal vegetables along with rice and chapati.
Dinner
Also for his dinner, a very light meal is served, consisting of a Salad, and two to three non-heavy vegetables along with rice and chapatti.
Yuvraj Singh, on the other hand, did not allow cancer to overwhelm him and battled valiantly. He was able to overcome illness and return to regular life with a strong desire and a strong mentality by making a miraculous recovery in a Twenty-Twenty competition against New Zealand in September 2012. He is a firm believer in the importance of a healthy body and mind and serves as an inspiration to today’s youngsters.
