Malaika Arora, an Indian actress, has strengthened her connections to fitness-related companies after being chosen as the new brand ambassador and investor for the healthy dessert start-up ‘Get-A-Whey’.
During their time at the Shark Tank India, GetAWhey received an investment of INR 1 crore from Aman Gupta, Vineeta Singh, and Ashneer Grover (who isn’t a part of the second season). The product garnered attention in the first season of the television programme. In addition, Biryani By Kilo invested in the startup with USD 2 million in funding.
“The majority of the things that make me whole and scream passion for me are included in my current financial portfolio, including cuisine, fashion, wellness, and fitness. We have some fluffy, sweet, and ambitious plans that will let dessert and fitness lovers enjoy their desserts guilt-free. I can’t wait for everyone to get their hands on my hand-picked desserts and get away with enjoying them,” said Malaika Arora, the new Brand Ambassador for ‘Get-A-Whey’.
In a statement, the corporation stated that it anticipates expanding both its offline and online presence in the nation as a result of this collaboration. “For our brand, we have consistently looked for connections with like-minded individuals. Arora is devoted to encouraging people to adopt healthy habits and is a true fitness star”. Pashmi Shah, Co-founder and CMO, stated that this is something that absolutely aligns with our brand idea.
The business has stated that, in addition to improving its manufacturing capabilities, it wants to increase its sales network and extend its product line. In fact, it intends to expand its dessert selection by adding vegan gelato, keto cheesecakes, and more in the coming few months.
Maliaka Arora has been in the spotlight for quite a time due to the rumors of her Arjun Kapoor getting engaged. However, apart from being an actress, she is also a producer, dancer, model, and businesswoman, and is well-known for her daring sense of style. She is known as the dancing queen of the Bollywood film industry. The songs “Chaiyya Chaiyya” from Dil Se and “Munni Badnaam” from Dabangg captivated the audience with her killer dance routines.
With another Shark Tank success story the entrepreneurship wave continues to grow in India. It will be interesting to see more businesses grow and boost the economy through Shark Tank India season 2.
