On Monday, the Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, ceremoniously unveiled ITC’s advanced facility for integrated manufacturing and logistics of consumer goods in Khurda.
In an appreciative gesture, Chief Minister Patnaik extended his congratulations to ITC’s CMD Sanjeev Puri and emphasized the importance of expanding the company’s footprint in the state, highlighting the promising opportunities for growth and progress.
Reiterating the state government’s dedication, he reaffirmed the commitment to transform Odisha into the upcoming industrial hub of the nation.
During his remarks, he underscored the significance of the Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) 2022, emphasizing its role in propelling Odisha towards becoming a modern and advanced industrial state. The policy aims to attract investors by providing outstanding opportunities for sustainable business growth, while also fostering comprehensive socio-economic development for the people, thereby shaping a promising future for the state.
He highlighted the food processing sector as one of the key priority sectors identified in the Industrial Policy Resolution (IPR) 2022. Recognizing the importance of this sector, he emphasized that the establishment of ITC’s facility in Odisha signifies a noteworthy milestone for the state.
Situated across an expansive area of 35 acres, the facility is solely dedicated to accommodating seven distinct production lines. These production lines are specifically designed to cater to the manufacturing needs of renowned brands such as Aashirvaad atta, Yippee! noodles, Sunfeast biscuits, and Bingo! chips, making it a significant milestone for Odisha.
The inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of notable attendees, including Jatni MLA Suresh Kumar Routray and Khurda MLA Jyotirindra Nath Mitra, alongside other esteemed individuals.
