This new location promises to offer an equally impressive dining experience as its flagship restaurant, which has already earned a loyal following of food enthusiasts.
Avantika Sinha Bahl, the Founder of Kampai had earlier hinted at her plans to expand the brand and this latest move is seen as a significant step towards realizing that vision. With the opening of the new outpost, Kampai hopes to cater to the growing demand for authentic Japanese cuisine in the region, and offer patrons a unique and memorable dining experience.
Kampai is known for its exquisite and authentic Japanese cuisine, including a range of delicious sushi, sashimi, and other traditional Japanese dishes. The restaurant is also known for its elegant and inviting ambiance, which blends contemporary design with traditional Japanese elements to create a relaxing and immersive dining experience.
The second outpost at DLF Promenade promises to deliver the same high-quality food and exceptional service that has made Kampai a favorite among food lovers. With its strategic location in the heart of the city, the new restaurant is expected to attract a diverse and discerning clientele, including local residents and tourists alike.
The launch of the second outpost of Kampai – Plate & Pour at DLF Promenade marks an exciting new chapter for the brand, and demonstrates the founder’s commitment to expanding its reach and delivering exceptional dining experiences to more people.
Avantika Sinha said, “Studying design at NIFT in New Delhi revealed my creativity. I fell in love with hospitality during my Master’s in luxury brand management at the university of the arts, London. I founded Kampai in 2018. From childhood, I loved Japan’s culture and food and wanted to share them with our community.”
“With an unwavering commitment to quality and authenticity, Kampai has become a popular destination for many people. The restaurant is designed to transport you to Japan with its unique and captivating interiors with traditional Japanese elements. At 2250 sq ft, this 82-seater outlet boasts a sophisticated twist on traditional Japanese cuisine, creating an intimate and comfortable environment that guarantees a memorable experience. The seating arrangement is thoughtfully designed, with 48 seats indoors and 45 on the outdoor terrace – a charming reflection of a Japanese zen garden.”
“The team at Kampai has gone above and beyond to ensure that their diners have an unforgettable experience, from selectively procuring fresh seafood and authentic ingredients to providing unconventional decor, well-trained service staff, and an open rooftop overlooking Delhi’s expanse. Kampai at DLF Promenade is the only Japanese restaurant in that area.”
“Indian Japanese cuisine’s growth is astounding! Only Japanese expats could taste Tokyo’s authentic flavours through imported chefs and ingredients. After a long day at work, everyone may enjoy a bowl of ramen or teppanyaki with a sake drink. Authentic Japanese restaurants in India have satisfied many who craved Japan’s unique flavour. It’s astonishing how vegetarians enjoy sushi, making it one of India’s most popular cuisines. Japanese food has grown in India due to the rising number of Japanese tourists and expats and the younger generation’s openness to trying new foods. It’s great to see people eating healthier and trying new things, which has boosted Japanese food’s appeal.”
“Our passion for providing good quality dining experiences continues to fuel our expansion plans. We will be opening its doors this month in the bustling city of Dhaka, Bangladesh, bringing a taste of Japan to the region. And that’s not all. We are excited to bring the Kampai experience to Gurgaon, with the launch scheduled for August, creating an unforgettable culinary journey for our patrons. We are now looking to expand its reach to multiple tier-22 and 3 cities, spreading the love for our culinary creations far and wide. Furthermore, we are exploring the vibrant markets of Bengaluru, Dehradun, Chennai and Mumbai to bring our restaurants’ unique and authentic flavours to even more food enthusiasts.”
