‘Ajji-Approved’ Filter Coffee is available at Starbucks for INR 290

Published:

Starbucks has announced that it is now selling “Ajji-approved” filter coffee in India. The coffee, which is priced at INR 290, is aimed at appealing to traditional Indian coffee drinkers, who often prefer filter coffee to other types of coffee.

The coffee is made using a traditional Indian coffee filter, also known as a “drip brew” or “filter coffee,”  which allows for a slow and steady extraction of coffee grounds, resulting in a stronger and more flavorful brew.

The coffee is made using high-quality Arabica beans and is designed to offer a unique and authentic Indian coffee experience.

The company’s decision to sell this type of coffee is part of its strategy to cater to the local preferences and expand its customer base in India. The filter coffee is being sold in selected Starbucks stores in India and is expected to be available in more stores in the future.

The move is seen as a significant step in the company’s efforts to establish itself as a major player in the Indian coffee market, which is currently dominated by local players offering filter coffee. With the new offering, Starbucks aims to provide a new and unique coffee experience to its customers while also appealing to traditional Indian coffee drinkers who prefer filter coffee.

A twitter user also posted a meme about this. The caption accompanying the image stated, “Dear Starbucks, there’s literally no Ajji in God’s green earth who’ll approve a filter coffee for INR 290 + taxes.”
