Delhi’s North Campus is a bustling area in the heart of the city that is famous for its universities, colleges, and the young student crowd that throngs the area. Apart from being an educational hub, the North Campus is also well-known for its street food and affordable eateries. From spicy chaat to savory momos, the food scene in the North Campus is an experience in itself. If you’re on a tight budget but still want to enjoy some delicious food, then this list of the top 8 budget-friendly eateries in Delhi’s North Campus is just for you.

The Top 8 Budget-Friendly Eateries in Delhi’s North Campus are:

1) Bistro:

This elegant tapri or hut (if you will) is famous for its incredible shakes. This is a one-stop shop for all the exotic shakes your heart desires, priced at INR. 80-100. Hide & Seek, Nutella Crunch, Brownie-cookie, Ferrero Rocher, peach, kiwi, green apple mojitos, iced tea, blue lagoon, and/or anything.  All of these come in small and large sizes. They also provide hot chocolate brownies for dessert.

Location: GTB and Kamla Nagar

2) Jyoti Food Centre:

You might walk past this business a hundred times and never notice it. The buzz of the accompanying photocopy shops largely overshadowed it. However, if you’re looking for delicious and reasonably priced Chinese, this is the place to go. No, don’t be fooled by the name. The super-cheap eatery is famous for its chilly chicken dry, pig and chicken chowmein, and fried and steamed chicken momo. Oh, and it also offers home delivery!

Location: Patel Chest

3) Shawarma Wala:

This modest basement restaurant provides mouthwatering shawarma. Their self-prepared mayo is amazing. Other regulars include soya, egg, aloo, paneer rolls (INR. 80-100) and an abundance of chicken roll variants (lemon chicken, kali mirch chicken, chilli chicken, garlic chicken). So now you know where to go after shopping in Kamla Nagar!

Location: Kamla Nagar Market

4) Tom Uncle Maggi Point:

Tom Uncle Maggi Point is well-known on North Campus. This shop, located in Hudson Line, DU, is famed for its several variants of maggi- from veg to double cheese to double masala to egg to tomato to everything. Masala maggi costs INR. 40, while double masala costs INR. 50. Other flavors cost between INR. 40 and INR 60.

Location: Near Daulat Ram College, Hudson Lane

5) Sudama Ji ki Chai:

Sudama’s identity may be a mystery, but the brewing Elaichi wali Malai Chai is not. Students visit the location, especially on monsoon evenings.

Location: Outside Hansraj Boys Hostel Gate

6) Raju Coffee and Rajma-Chawal:

Undoubtedly, the most underappreciated eatery on campus. The spicy Rajma Chawal is a must, especially since it is served hot throughout the day. So, what about the coffee? Hot chocolate with a hint of coffee in toned milk creates something more than just coffee. During the Monsoons, walk down to this location with your specialties.

Location: Law Faculty Pathway

7) International Student Hostel:

The Hostel mess serves unlimited food for INR 60 (Lunch), INR 100 (Dinner), and INR 50 (Breakfast). Non-hostellers are welcome as well. However, keep in mind that non-hostellers are only permitted to enter the dining areas 15 minutes later. Suggestion: Come on a Saturday afternoon for limitless Manchurian, Rajma-Chawal, Egg, and Paneer Chowmein for INR 60! And non-vegetarian dinners every night.

Location: Adjacent to Mansarovar Hostel, Near SGTB Khalsa College

8) Hindu cafeteria:

The cafeteria is undoubtedly the pinnacle of college dining. The canteen, located peacefully between the basketball court and student hostels, provides a highly happy atmosphere as well as high-quality food at incredibly reasonable costs. That’s right: a complete plate of fried rice for INR 30 and a Masala Dosa for INR 40! And, if you can find a corner table, this will be the ideal spot for contemplation or a casual dating.Pav Bhaji, Paneer-Naan, and Vanilla Shake are must-order items.
