Reading to your child, listening to music, constructing blocks with her, playing games with her, and allowing her to explore her environment are all activities that promote brain development. However, these aren’t the only ways you can assist your toddler’s brain to develop; feeding her nutritious foods is also essential.

During the first 36 months of your child’s life, her brain is constantly growing as she absorbs everything around her and learns how to think, respond, and solve complex issues.

Being a parent it is one of the prime responsibilities to take care of a child’s growth, nourishment and development. You try every single thing you can do to enhance and encourage your child’s development and the best thing that can be done is to give them nutrition-packed meals which can be a great way to give them all the required nutrients and resources to help them grow and develop their body.

Here is a list of some foods that will boost your child’s brain health.

  1. Fish

Fish is high in vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acids, which protect the brain against cognitive decline and memory loss. Omega-3 fatty acids are abundant in salmon, tuna, and sardines.

  1. Eggs

Eggs are well-known for their high protein content, but the yolks are also high in choline, which aids in memory development. Consume more eggs: Send your youngster to school with a quick morning egg tortilla.

  1. Oranges

Oranges are a common citrus fruit and a favourite among children due to their sweet flavour. Including oranges in your child’s diet may benefit his or her general health, including cognitive health. Flavonoids found in oranges include hesperidin and narirutin. Indeed, orange juice is one of the most popular sources of flavonoids.

  1. Yogurt

Unsweetened yogurt is a simple, kid-friendly technique to promote brain development. Protein, zinc, choline, and iodine are among the nutrients found in them. Iodine is required for children to make thyroid hormones, which are essential for brain development and neurological processes. Even a slight iodine shortage can impair a child’s overall cognitive function and reasoning skills.

In addition to all this make sure your kid has an active schedule throughout the day, visiting the park for the day-to-day activities or even playing on the terrace will suffice. Draw a routine for your young one and see all the visible and positive results in their eating habits and growth.

Happy parenting!
