Finally Getting Customer Loyalty Right: Reelo on a Mission to Help Restaurants, Cafes and Breweries Fix Customer Growth and Retention

Published:

Ahmedabad-based Reelo is a restaurant focused customer growth and loyalty platform on a mission to triple the number of outlets using its platform. Reelo provides a comprehensive marketing platform to restaurants, cafes, breweries, bakeries and other F&B businesses to automate marketing campaigns, drive engagement and loyalty, and understand customer behaviour.

Founded by siblings Parin and Prit Sanghvi in 2021, Reelo works with over 22,000 brands from single outlet restaurants to pan-India chains like Jumbo King, Lite Bite Foods, Nando’s, Bellona Hospitality, Pop Tates, and Yauatcha amongst others. The firm has tight integrations with almost all PoS billing software providers like PetPooja, DotPe (Rista), Restroworks (formerly POSist) and over 20 others.

“What began as a simple loyalty platform has now evolved into a suite of marketing tools designed to take out the guesswork from marketing for F&B businesses. Our platform offers Starbucks-level technology firepower to those who lack the time, skills, or the budget to implement such advanced solutions on their own,” says Parin Sanghvi, CEO & Co-Founder, Reelo.

“With Reelo we are building something that runs on auto-pilot, is plug-and-play, and offers a freemium model where you don’t have to be a marketing expert to send out amazing campaigns. One can launch a loyalty program and send marketing campaigns in less than 30 minutes,” adds Parin.

Expanding Horizons

Reelo is currently working with 22,000+ brands in over 300 cities, focusing on the F&B and Retail industry. The company raised $1 million in April 2024 from Gokul Rajaram, a Silicon Valley-based angel investor.

“Today, a lot of restaurants do not have control or access to their customer data. Because of this challenge they are not able to build effective engagement campaigns or run marketing campaigns that truly speak to their customers. It is like burning a lot of money and effort, without knowing why. We help restaurants collect customer data, analyse dine-in behaviours and use these insights to re-engage with those customers,” says Sanghvi. By simplifying complex marketing tasks, Reelo allows business owners to focus on what they do best, without the need for extensive marketing expertise.

Roadmap for rapid growth

Reelo’s growth trajectory has been impressive. Recently, Reelo has expanded internationally, gaining early customers in the Middle East and Africa. “We’ve been growing 3X year-on-year for the last three years,” Sanghvi shares. “We are in high gear right now, doubling down on our product and building more AI-driven capabilities.”

With this, the company plans to reach at least 50,000 business locations by 2026.

Reelo’s platform has proven invaluable for small businesses as well as multi-outlet chains seeking a modern, efficient solution to customer engagement.

Sanghvi remains committed to providing small and mid-sized businesses the tools they need to thrive in a competitive market. “There’s a massive untapped opportunity to create a Canva of customer marketing,” he asserts.
