The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has announced the opening of a new hotel in Nagpur, Maharashtra, marking its second establishment under the Ginger brand. The new hotel is set to welcome guests starting April 2024 and is being dubbed as a brownfield project.

Nagpur is a city in the central Indian state of Maharashtra, known for its historical and cultural significance. It is considered the third largest city in Maharashtra and is also known as the “Orange City” for its famous sweet oranges.

Nagpur has seen significant growth in the real estate and tourism sectors, with several new developments, shopping malls, and hotels being constructed in the city.

The 100-room establishment is strategically situated on Wardha Road in Jaiprakash Nagar, providing guests with easy access to key business districts as well as the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport. The hotel will be part of a mixed-use development and will occupy the top three floors of an 11-story building.

In addition to offering a comfortable and convenient place to stay, the hotel will also feature an all-day dining venue, Qmin, that serves a variety of local and international cuisines, and a fitness centre for guests to stay active during their stay.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive VP – Real Estate & Development at IHCL, Speaking on the occasion, said, “This signing is in line with IHCL’s vision to be present in key markets. Nagpur is an emerging metropolis and a major commercial and political centre of Maharashtra. Ginger with its lean luxe offering will cater to the needs of this emerging market. Praful Deshmukh, promoter of Prafulved Infra Pvt Ltd, said, “We are delighted to partner with IHCL to bring the Ginger brand to Nagpur. This hotel will be a welcome addition to the city.”
